Congratulations to Ramee Kelly, OSU Strategic Efforts Coordinator, on her award and recognition from NWACC!
Ramee Kelly, the Strategic Efforts Coordinator for OSU IT, was recently awarded and recognized by the NortWest Academic Computing Consortium (NWACC) for her work in establishing the Advancing Women in IT program. The program promotes the well-being and advancement of women in IT by creating a pipeline and increasing opportunities for leadership positions across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Kelly was instrumental in helping to stand up the program, drafting the charge and serving as a key task force member. The program was formalized in June 2024 and held its inaugural workshop in October, with discussions on embracing gracious space as a leadership strategy, how to develop an action plan for professional growth, and exploring mentorship practices with a focus on empowering women in the IT community. Advancing Women in IT will hold its spring workshop in May.
“I am deeply honored by this recognition and want to extend my appreciation to the NWACC council members and the board for their support of the Advancing Women in IT Program,” Kelly said. “Their commitment, dedication and vision have been instrumental in shaping a program that not only advances women in the IT field but also sets a benchmark for future initiatives.
“I also want to acknowledge my colleagues on the AWIT Task Force. Their collaborative efforts and unwavering commitment have made a positive impact which is evident in the enthusiasm and growth of the program. It has been truly inspiring to witness.”
