The Office of the CIO (Chief Information Officer) is one of the central drivers of digital transformation at Oregon State University, encompassing the university's central IT organization and developing the strategy for all of OSU IT.

This strategy ensures that Oregon State University's information and technology practices align with the university's mission and goals, in support of teaching, learning, research, extension, and outreach.

  • Designing, governing, and evolving an enterprise digital ecosystem of data, platforms, services, and infrastructure that is secure, interoperable, and aligned to OSU’s long-term direction
  • Protecting OSU’s digital assets and institutional trust through strong cybersecurity, privacy, risk management, and compliance practices
  • Enabling people and organizations to succeed by embedding organizational change management, user-centered design, accessibility, and adoption into all technology initiatives
  • Stewarding resources responsibly through transparent investment decisions, lifecycle planning, and sustainable funding models
